Transport for NSW delivered the Yagoona Station Upgrade under its Transport Access Program, which aims to improve public transport infrastructure for passengers of all abilities throughout the state.

These particular works included a new station concourse, upgraded entrances and platforms, and the delivery of the first hands-free lift on the Sydney Trains network.

Managed by lead contractor Arenco (NSW) Pty Limited, the project was executed within an active rail environment surrounded by planted indigenous and exotic trees, shrubs, and forbs. Therefore, in 2021, Tree Survey was engaged to provide expert arboricultural services throughout planning and delivery.

Our scope included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately document existing trees, followed by an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to define which planted trees required removal.

Finally, a detailed Tree Protection Plan was developed and supported through ongoing Project Arborist Services during construction.

Our role focused on providing clear, reliable arboricultural information that project teams could confidently apply on site. All services were delivered on time and within budget.
