The Windsor Bridge Replacement Project was a landmark $137 million infrastructure upgrade delivered by Transport for NSW to enhance safety, flood resilience, and connectivity across the Hawkesbury River.

Replacing a 140-year-old heritage bridge, the new structure was designed to remain operational during major flood events while easing congestion and improving access between Windsor and Mulgrave.

In 2019, lead contractor Cardno engaged Tree Survey to provide arboricultural expertise throughout planning and construction. Working within a historically and environmentally significant riverside corridor, we were tasked with assessing and protecting vegetation in an area rich with mature riparian trees.

The scope included a detailed Tree Survey, Preliminary Tree Assessment, Arboricultural Impact Assessment, and Tree Protection Plan. Each deliverable combined accurate mapping, spatial data, and condition assessments to create a clear, reliable foundation for project planning and site management.

Completed on time and to budget, our work provided the project team with the accurate tree data to guide effective decisions — ensuring all vegetation-related risks were identified early and managed with precision throughout the delivery process.
