Transport for NSW developed the West Ryde Commuter Car Park to increase capacity and improve access to rail services at West Ryde Station. Led by DesignInc., the $351 million project introduced a multi-level parking facility with approximately 100 extra spaces.
As these works took place within a tightly constrained site, it demanded careful consideration of vegetation alongside building footprints, access ramps and pedestrian routes.
In 2021, Tree Survey was engaged to document existing trees on site and assess the impact of proposed works. Our services included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to record tree location, species and condition, followed by an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to detail anticipated consequences of construction.
We then prepared a site-specific Tree Protection Plan to guide tree management during the works. Our input focused on providing practical, clearly presented arboricultural information that project teams could readily apply throughout design development and delivery. All of our reports were delivered on schedule and within budget.
