The Wentworth Point Intersection Upgrade addressed congestion and safety issues at the intersection of Hill Road and Bennelong Parkway, a key entranceway to the Wentworth Point peninsula.

Managed by RPS for Transport for NSW, this project included the installation of new traffic signals, improvements to traffic flow and the introduction of flood-proofing measures to improve reliability during heavy rainfall.

In 2022, Tree Survey was hired to support planning and delivery at the intersection with expert arboricultural services. Our scope included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to document the location, species and condition of trees adjacent to the road footprint, drainage works and service corridors.

This information informed an Arboricultural Impact Assessment, which identified how the proposed traffic signals, road works and flood-proofing measures would impact existing vegetation. A site-specific Tree Protection Plan was then prepared to set out practical controls for managing retained trees during construction.

We completed all services on schedule and within budget. As a result, project teams could apply reliable arboricultural information during design coordination and on-site delivery.
