Transport for NSW’s $450M Urban Roads Congestion Program focuses on sections of the network where congestion has a wider impact on traffic flow. By targeting high-pressure intersections and constrained road corridors, it’s designed to reduce delays, improve safety and support more consistent travel times.

As part of this program, major upgrades were delivered at the intersection of Pennant Hills Road and North Rocks Road in Carlingford, one of Sydney’s busiest arterial locations. With over 60,000 vehicles passing through each day, the works aimed to ease congestion and reduce risk for all road users.

In 2023, Tree Survey was hired to provide professional arboricultural insights throughout planning and construction.

We completed a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately record tree locations, condition and structural characteristics, supported by clear mapping and documentation.

This informed an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify potential construction impacts, followed by the preparation of a Tree Protection Plan to guide site activities and project coordination.

Our input translated complex site conditions into clear, usable information for delivery teams, making it easier to manage tree-related constraints alongside ongoing construction in a live traffic environment. All services were delivered on time and within budget.
