Todd Park is a valued public space for residents in Blakehurst, featuring playing fields, an outdoor basketball court, a learn-to-ride bike and scooter track, grassy areas, and clubhouse facilities.

The Carss Bush Park and Todd Park Master Plan sets out Georges River Council’s long-term vision for this site, including improvements to sports facilities, landscape design and environmental protection.

As part of the broader planning work, the $1 million Todd Park Sporting & Community Facility project focuses on enhancing the park’s playing fields, amenities and public recreation areas. This project has to consider the park’s environmental significance, heritage setting and role within the wider Carss Park precinct.

As part of the project’s planning phase, Tree Survey was hired by lead contractor Complete Urban to provide specialist arboricultural support.

Our team completed a Tree Survey and GIS Analysis to map existing trees across the project area, followed by a Preliminary Tree Assessment to record tree health, structure and condition.

Next, we developed an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to assess how the proposed works could impact existing vegetation. A Tree Protection Plan was also prepared to guide retained tree management during the facility’s development.

Ultimately, these reports equipped the project team with accurate tree locations, reliable assessment data and expert recommendations to support a more efficient approach to the facility upgrade. All services were delivered within budget and on schedule.
