Talavera Road Data Centre Campus Expansion

This facility’s recent extension sought to increase capacity and operational efficiency. A key component of the works involved installing a new 2,100 mm stormwater pipeline around the site perimeter, replacing an existing line that previously ran through the centre of the site.

Delivering these upgrades required careful planning within a constrained environment, with existing buildings, services and vegetation all influencing how works could be carried out. In 2023, Stantec enlisted Tree Survey to provide arboricultural insights throughout the design and construction phases.

We began by conducting a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately record tree locations, condition and structural characteristics.

Next, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment was prepared to identify where construction activities, including trenching and service installation, would interact with surrounding trees. Finally, we developed a Tree Protection Plan to guide site works and establish practical controls.

These precise reports were delivered on time and on budget, giving project teams the clarity needed to manage tree-related constraints alongside essential works and day-to-day operations.
