T-Way Cycleway Re-alignment (Parramatta)

Led by the City of Parramatta, this $4.8 million project upgraded key sections of the 30-kilometre route to create a more direct link for cyclists and pedestrians.

More specifically, the works removed three major on-road sections and introduced separated paths, priority crossings and a 75-metre boardwalk bridge over Toongabbie Creek.

In 2024, Tree Survey was hired by lead contractor Tonkin to deliver specialist arboricultural services during the project’s planning and assessment phases.

Our team began with a Tree Survey to accurately record tree locations along the route. An in-depth GIS Analysis then provided clear spatial data and precise mapping, helping the project team plan works around existing vegetation.

Next, a Preliminary Tree Assessment documented tree health, structure and condition. Lastly, we prepared an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to review how the proposed cycleway works could affect surrounding trees.

We then prepared a site-specific Tree Protection Plan, outlining practical measures to help safeguard retained trees during construction.

All of our services were completed on time and within budget to support efficient project delivery. Now, approximately 100,000 pedestrians and 30,000 cyclists enjoy the T-Way Cycleway each year.
