Transport for NSW’s Sydney Metro West project is reshaping how the city moves, with Five Dock Station positioned to become a major hub on the new line. Led by principal contractor Acciona Ferrovial Joint Venture (AFJV), these station works require a complex rail upgrade in a constrained urban setting.

To support successful project delivery, our team was commissioned to provide professional arboricultural services. We began with a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to capture the condition and extent of existing vegetation.

Building on this baseline, we undertook an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to analyse potential construction effects and prepared a tailored Tree Protection Plan to guide site teams.

Accuracy and reliability were the focus at every stage. Ultimately, we provided project teams with the information required to progress efficiently through precise tree mapping, comprehensive assessments, and in-depth reports.

Completed on time and within budget, our work played a key role in advancing one of Sydney’s most significant transport infrastructure projects.

These insights informed a thorough Arboricultural Impact Assessment, highlighting potential risks and shaping strategies to reduce vegetation disturbance.

The process culminated in a Tree Protection Plan tailored to the site’s unique conditions, establishing clear exclusion zones, specifying protective methods for works near retained trees, and guiding on-the-ground teams through best-practice protocols.

Delivered on time and within budget, our arboricultural services provided Transport for Tomorrow’s team with the clarity to undergo safe and efficient construction activities.
