The $1.4M Stewart Avenue and King Street Intersection Upgrade focused on enhancing safety and traffic flow at a key inner-city intersection after the introduction of the Newcastle Light Rail.
Delivered for Roads and Maritime Services, this project included the construction of a left turn slip-lane from Stewart Avenue onto King Street and a pedestrian crossing.
In 2020, EMM Consulting hired Tree Survey to provide arboricultural services during this project’s planning and construction phases.
Initial works involved compiling a comprehensive Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to establish accurate, site-specific data for existing trees affected by the works.
Next, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment was prepared to examine how construction activities could interact with retained vegetation and to inform design responses where required. We also provided a tailored Tree Protection Plan to detail tree management measures during site operations.
Ultimately, Tree Survey supplied precise arboricultural information through ongoing coordination with EMM Consulting and Roads and Maritime Services.
Delivered on time and within budget, this documentation supported regulatory processes, construction sequencing and the management of tree-related constraints within Newcastle West.
