Paddington Gates Cycleway

The continuous 1.8-kilometre cycle path would connect with the Centennial Park Cycleway and Oxford Street West Cycleway, while providing a safer east–west connection between the Sydney CBD and the Eastern Suburbs.

In 2020, Tree Survey was engaged by lead contractor Hills Environmental to provide specialist arboricultural services during this project’s planning phase.

Our scope included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately document existing trees along the corridor, followed by an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to assess potential interactions between the proposed works and retained trees. Finally, a Tree Protection Plan was developed to clearly define tree management requirements during construction.

All of our services were completed on schedule and within budget, equipping the project team with practical arboricultural documentation and tree management strategies for this inner-city cycleway.

Please note that, as of 2025, Transport for NSW has replaced the Oxford Street East Cycleway proposal with the broader Oxford Street Revitalisation Project.
