The Ourimbah Station Upgrade, completed in August 2021 as part of Transport for NSW’s $2.2B Transport Access Program, significantly improved accessibility, safety and amenity for rail users on the Central Coast Line.

The upgrade delivered two new lifts connecting the existing footbridge to the platforms, a new station entrance from the Pacific Highway, and an access ramp from the car park. New passenger amenities included a new undercover waiting area, hearing loop installations, and enhanced lighting and CCTV.

As this project involved managing construction within an established landscape, lead contractor Gartner Rose enlisted Tree Survey in 2020 to provide specialist arboricultural services throughout planning and delivery.

Our involvement began with a thorough Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to record existing vegetation condition and constraints. We then completed an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to evaluate potential construction effects on trees, followed by preparation of a project-specific Tree Protection Plan to safeguard retained vegetation during works.

Completed on time and within budget in close collaboration with project teams, our arboricultural services supported construction planning and delivery at Ourimbah Station.
