Mamre Road is a critical transport link between Western Sydney’s Employment Area and its Airport Precinct. Around 20,000 vehicles travel the route each day, with volumes projected to double by 2041 as industrial warehousing in the region grows. To boost its capacity and safety, Transport for NSW is upgrading Mamre Road in staged sections through Erskine Park.
Stage 1 is currently under construction between the M4 Motorway and Erskine Park Road, with Stage 2 extending improvements north, further strengthening connectivity across this expanding freight corridor.
In 2023, the project’s lead contractor, Aurecon Australasia, enlisted Tree Survey to provide specialist arboricultural services.
First, we undertook a detailed Tree Survey to accurately map surrounding tree locations and record species, dimensions and structural characteristics. We then prepared a Preliminary Tree Assessment, documenting their health and condition to inform retention and management decisions.
Next, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment was prepared to detail potential construction impacts and recommend practical mitigation measures.
Finally, our team developed a tailored Tree Protection Plan with accurate drawings and site guidance to assist contractors during delivery.
Together, this precise documentation has provided Transport for NSW and Aurecon with reliable arboricultural data to support environmental approvals, detailed designs and smooth construction across both stages of the upgrade. Each service was delivered on time and within budget.
