M6 Road Upgrade (Bardwell Valley)

Led by EMM Consulting, the project involved the construction of a 4km tunnel linking President Avenue at Kogarah to the M8 at Arncliffe. The works were undertaken within the Bardwell Valley corridor, a constrained landscape defined by steep terrain, established vegetation and tightly controlled construction areas.

Tree Survey was engaged in 2022 to provide specialist arboricultural services to support planning and technical documentation. Our scope included a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately record tree locations, species and condition across the project area.

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment was then undertaken to identify where proposed works interacted with existing trees. Lastly, we created a project-specific Tree Protection Plan to guide construction controls and site management.

Throughout our involvement, we focused on equipping project teams with clear, dependable arboricultural insights that could drive informed decision-making and efficient execution. All services were delivered on schedule and within budget.
