Kissing Point Road is a busy transport corridor through Dundas and Dundas Valley in Western Sydney, connecting residential neighbourhoods, schools and the surrounding road network.

Delivered under the NSW Government’s Towards Zero Safer Roads Program, its intersection upgrade lengthened the eastbound right-turn lane at Stewart Street by approximately 80 metres.

In 2024, WSP Australia called in Tree Survey to provide specialist arboricultural services during the project’s planning phase.

To start, we completed a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment, providing precise tree locations alongside details of their condition and structure.

Our Arboricultural Impact Assessment then examined how the proposed intersection and road works could affect surrounding trees, helping inform decisions around retention and removal.

Lastly, a Tree Protection Plan established practical protocols to preserve retained trees during construction.

All services were completed on schedule and within budget. This accurate arboricultural information helped project teams to deliver intersection works efficiently while managing impacts to roadside trees.
