Nestled near Shellharbour South Beach, Keith Hockey Oval is an established community sporting ground featuring facilities for cricket and rugby league, along with picnic tables and a rotunda.

As part of Shellharbour City Council’s ongoing investment in local sporting infrastructure, the oval underwent a lighting and fencing upgrade in 2025. Tree Survey provided specialist arboricultural services to support planning for this upgrade and its effect on existing vegetation.

Our team completed a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment, providing precise tree locations and reliable information on tree condition and structure.

Clear, accurate drawings supported an Arboricultural Impact Assessment, which assessed how the proposed lighting works could affect trees within and around the construction area.

We then prepared a Tree Protection Plan outlining measures to protect retained trees during the installation of the new LED lighting poles, including controls for construction activity within sensitive tree protection areas.

Together, our precise survey data, reliable assessments and practical guidance helped the project team to deliver the lighting upgrade efficiently while protecting established trees around Keith Hockey Oval. All reports were delivered on time and within budget.
