This $200 million upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments through initiatives such as the Urban Congestion Fund Program and Housing Acceleration Fund.
The site sits in an established urban road corridor containing street trees within road verges, medians and adjoining areas. In 2024, lead contractor Fulton Hogan engaged Tree Survey to deliver expert arboricultural insights for the upgrade’s planning and construction phases.
Our team undertook a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to capture the condition and distribution of trees within road corridors, medians and adjoining verges.
Next, we performed an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to evaluate how proposed intersection widening, lane reconfiguration and associated infrastructure works could affect existing vegetation.
This was supported by a tailored Tree Protection Plan outlining practical measures to safeguard 72 retained trees during staged works.
Ultimately, we provided clear, accurate and site-specific arboricultural guidance to support the efficient delivery of this major intersection upgrade. Every service was completed on schedule and within budget.
