The Goondah Reserve Upgrade will transform the existing Villawood park into a modern recreational space designed for children, families and the wider community. This project is jointly funded by the NSW Government and the City of Canterbury-Bankstown.

Planned improvements include a new Level 1 playground with a play tower, swings, bike track, zip line, slide and nature play, alongside a half-court basketball court, exercise equipment, youth space, amenities, barbecue facilities, picnic areas and a walking track.

To support the planning and delivery of these improvements, lead contractor Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture engaged Tree Survey’s arboricultural services in 2025.

Firstly, our team completed a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately locate existing trees and document their health and structure.

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment then identified potential impacts from the proposed works, helping inform planning around retained vegetation.

Finally, a Tree Protection Plan was prepared to set out practical measures that will protect trees during construction.

These services provided precise arboricultural information to support the design of the upgraded reserve around existing vegetation. All services were delivered on time and within budget.
