The Gipps Street Drainage Upgrade in Concord, NSW, formed part of local floodplain management works to improve stormwater performance and reduce flooding risk in the surrounding area.
This Transport for NSW project required clear arboricultural advice to support drainage planning around existing trees and vegetation.
In 2024, lead contractor ConnectSydney engaged Tree Survey to provide specialist arboricultural support during the planning and assessment stages of the stormwater upgrade.
Our team conducted a Tree Survey to record accurate tree locations, supported by GIS Analysis to provide clear spatial data for the project team. A Preliminary Tree Assessment followed, documenting tree health, structure and condition across the site.
Next, we prepared an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to review how the proposed drainage works could affect existing trees. Finally, a site-specific Tree Protection Plan was developed to guide works near retained trees.
All services were completed on time and within budget, providing project teams with clear drawings, reliable assessment data and practical recommendations throughout the drainage upgrade.
