The Forest Road Pedestrian Bridge project is progressing plans for a safer, more accessible crossing of Forest Road in Hurstville.

Located near Hurstville Public School, the proposed bridge will improve connections for pedestrians and cyclists travelling between public transport and surrounding services. Its design includes stair and lift access on both sides of Forest Road, together with pedestrian fencing and associated safety improvements.

Tree Survey was hired by lead contractor ESC Sustain JV in 2025 to provide professional arboricultural services at the project’s planning stage.

Our team completed a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to establish accurate tree locations and document existing tree health and structure.

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment then identified potential impacts from the proposed bridge and associated works, helping inform decisions around retained vegetation.

We also provided a Tree Protection Plan outlining practical measures to protect trees during construction.

Together, these services equipped the project team with reliable, accurate arboricultural insights to support planning for the new active transport connection. All documentation was provided on time and within budget.
