The Fairfield Heights Park Upgrade revitalised a key open space for the local community. This project was delivered for Fairfield City Council as part of a broader effort to improve public amenities and encourage active play and social interaction across neighbourhood parks.
Improvements at Fairfield Heights Park included updated seating and shade areas, new pathways, a picnic area, and a ‘nature theme’ playground complete with a large treehouse.
Delivered within an established parkland setting, these works sought to balance recreation with retention of the site’s existing landscape. In 2021, Tree Survey was engaged to provide arboricultural input during the design and planning phases.
Our scope comprised a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately record existing vegetation, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify where proposed works could affect trees, and a project-specific Tree Protection Plan to detail measures to keep these trees safe during development.
This meticulous documentation provided precise tree details, mapping and protection requirements, giving the project team a reliable reference for integrating tree considerations into the park upgrade. All services were delivered on schedule and within budget.
