Led by the City of Parramatta, the Epping Community Centre redevelopment was undertaken to restore a much-loved local facility and adapt it for modern community use.
Designed by Bokor Architects and Interiors, the $750,000 upgrade reconfigured internal spaces, improved accessibility, and enhanced the building’s connection with its surrounding green setting.
Tree Survey joined the project team in 2020 to provide detailed arboricultural advice from early design through to construction planning. The centre’s position within an established residential streetscape, bordered by mature canopy trees and landscaped reserves, required careful consideration of existing vegetation before any site works could commence.
Our team conducted a targeted Tree Survey, Preliminary Tree Assessment, Arboricultural Impact Assessment, and Tree Protection Plan. These assessments documented each tree’s position, structure, and health, producing accurate mapping and clear recommendations to guide design decisions and manage vegetation near the upgraded facility
The resulting reports equipped designers, engineers, and contractors with reliable, site-specific data—allowing the community centre’s renewal to progress efficiently while preserving the established landscape that anchors it within Epping’s civic hub.
