The Denistone Station Upgrade improved safety and ease of movement at an established rail station under Transport for NSW’s $2.2B Transport Access Program. Led by WSP Australia, this project introduced a range of upgrades to station facilities, including new lifts, handrails, benches, footpaths, and parking spaces.
As these works were to take place within an operational rail corridor and a constrained station footprint, Tree Survey was engaged in 2021 to provide arboricultural input during the upgrade’s planning phase.
Our services included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately document existing trees, as well as an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify potential impacts associated with the proposed works.
Lastly, we created a tailored Tree Protection Plan to clearly define construction boundaries and strategies to safeguard retained trees.
This arboricultural documentation equipped project teams with reliable tree data and clear, precise mapping, supporting design, approvals and construction planning. All of our services were completed within budget and on time.
