The Darley Road and Allen Street Intersection Upgrade was delivered for Transport for NSW as part of targeted road safety improvements under the Black Spot funding program.

This specific upgrade focused on addressing local traffic concerns at a key inner-west intersection in Leichhardt, where visibility and movement patterns presented risks for road users.

Works included the installation of kerb blisters and a concrete median at the existing roundabout, along with changes to on-street parking and tree trimming to reduce sightline restrictions. In 2021, Tree Survey was engaged to provide comprehensive arboricultural services during planning and delivery.

Our scope comprised a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to record existing trees, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify potential vegetation-related impacts, a tailored Tree Protection Plan to define protection measures, and Project Arborist Services to support on-site implementation.

Throughout this upgrade, we provided clear tree data, practical protection requirements, and precise mapping to ensure tree-related considerations could be integrated into site documentation and activities. All services were delivered on schedule and within budget.
