The Coles Express Pennant Hills project involved construction works within a constrained service station site in Sydney’s north-west, positioned close to established residential edges and mature roadside vegetation.

In 2025, CBRE engaged Tree Survey to provide professional arboricultural insights that would support planning and construction in a busy, urban setting.

Our Tree Survey and GIS Analysis mapped existing trees across the site, including boundary plantings and street trees influencing access and visibility.

A Preliminary Tree Assessment then evaluated each tree’s health, structure and suitability for retention within the operational constraints of the site. We also prepared an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to assess how the proposed redevelopment could affect retained trees.

This was followed by a Tree Protection Plan, which established practical protection zones, identified key risk areas around vehicle movement and excavation, and outlined on-site measures to safeguard retained vegetation during works.

These services provided CBRE with precise tree data, assessments and guidance to support efficient project execution within a constrained and active commercial space.
