The NSW Government’s Multipurpose Service (MPS) Program aims to improve access to healthcare in rural and remote communities. One of the key projects delivered under this initiative was the redevelopment of the Cobar Health Service on Woodiwiss Avenue.
Delivered by Health Infrastructure NSW, the $30 million project upgraded local medical facilities to meet the needs of Cobar’s growing community. The new multipurpose health service combines hospital, aged care, and community health functions within a single, purpose-built facility.
Tree Survey was engaged in 2019 to provide arboricultural input during the project’s early planning stages. Our work involved accurately identifying and assessing existing trees within the construction footprint to inform design and vegetation management decisions. Through a detailed Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment, we supplied precise location data, species information, and condition ratings.
This information gave project designers and contractors the clarity needed to plan works effectively, ensuring vegetation impacts were well understood and properly managed throughout development. All services were completed on schedule and within budget.
