This $8.3 million project took place in the active Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital precinct, requiring careful planning around existing trees, site access and surrounding infrastructure.
In 2024, lead contractor MCA Architects hired Tree Survey to provide specialist arboricultural input during the project’s planning and assessment stages.
We began with a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to determine tree locations, canopy spread, health, structure and condition across the site. This initial information helped to inform building design, site access and construction planning.
Next, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment reviewed where the proposed works could affect surrounding trees. From there, a site-specific Tree Protection Plan detailed practical requirements for retained vegetation.
We completed these services on schedule and within budget. In turn, MCA Architects and NSW Health gained the accurate data and guidance needed to guide efficient project delivery.
