Brisbane Water Drive is a State Road linking the Central Coast Highway at West Gosford to Railway Street and Blackwall Road in Woy Woy. Its upgrade formed part of Roads and Maritime Services’ broader program to improve road safety and traffic flow along this major arterial route.
This $8 million project involved widening the roadway, installing safety barriers, and upgrading intersections to reduce congestion and crash risk.
In 2019, Tree Survey was engaged to provide specialist arboricultural input during the upgrade’s planning and design phases. Our role focused on ensuring the accurate identification, assessment, and documentation of trees within the project corridor to inform design decisions and minimise construction risks.
Services included a Preliminary Tree Assessment, Arboricultural Impact Assessment, and Tree Protection Plan to identify trees for removal or retention and establish protective measures during construction. Each stage involved detailed mapping and clear documentation to guide on-site works.
Tree Survey’s reliable data and precise reporting enabled the project team to make well-informed decisions, ensuring vegetation management was completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all project requirements. All services were completed on time and within budget.
