The Blackheath Station Upgrade formed part of Transport for NSW’s Transport Access Program, a statewide initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility, safety and the overall experience for public transport users.

Delivered by lead contractor Arenco (NSW) Pty Limited, these works focused on improving station facilities, including new lifts for step-free access to station entries and platforms, footpath improvements, and extra parking spaces within the commuter car park.

As Blackheath Station is nestled within a constrained rail corridor and environmentally sensitive Blue Mountains setting, Tree Survey was engaged to provide professional arboricultural services during the upgrade’s planning and construction phases.

Our scope included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to accurately document existing vegetation, followed by an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify potential construction impacts.

A project-specific Tree Protection Plan was also prepared, supported by ongoing Project Arborist Services throughout site works.

Working closely with Transport for NSW and the project team, Tree Survey provided precise tree locations, clear and accurate drawings, and well-documented assessments to inform decision-making. Our reliable arboricultural advice helped to ensure requirements were clearly understood and consistently applied during project delivery.
