Commissioned by Transport for NSW, the $40 million Alfords Point Road Upgrade has improved traffic flow along a 2.1-kilometre corridor from Illawong to Alfords Point. Works involved widening the carriageway, dividing north and southbound lanes, and redeveloping key intersections to ease congestion, enhance safety, and shorten travel times.
As part of this upgrade, vegetation had to be cleared on the eastern side of Alfords Point Road between Maxwell Close and the intersection of Brushwood Drive and Fowler Road. Tree Survey was engaged to assess trees, guide their safe removal, and ensure that any retained vegetation was approached appropriately.
Our scope included a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment to document the health and extent of trees, followed by an Arboricultural Impact Assessment to evaluate construction effects. We also prepared a tailored Tree Protection Plan, giving contractors clear direction during construction.
Our detailed data, structured assessments, and practical guidance helped project teams to manage vegetation and progress with the upgrade efficiently. All services were delivered on schedule and within budget.
