The Albion Park Electrical Upgrade formed part of the NSW Government’s More Trains, More Services program—a major initiative to simplify and modernise the rail network. Along the T4 Illawarra Line, the program required platform extensions and asset upgrades at key stations to deliver more frequent and reliable services for commuters.
In 2022, Transport for Tomorrow undertook essential electrical infrastructure works at Albion Park to support the program’s rollout.
Tree Survey was brought in early to provide specialist arboricultural services, ensuring trees were properly assessed and managed throughout planning and delivery—including vegetation removal at the substation to allow construction vehicle access.
We began with a Tree Survey and Preliminary Tree Assessment, establishing baseline data on tree health, species, and structural condition along the corridor.
Delivered on time and within budget, Tree Survey’s services gave the project team accurate data, clear mapping, and practical guidance—supporting the safe and efficient progression of the Albion Park upgrade.
From there, we developed a site-specific Tree Protection Plan to detail clear exclusion zones, protective measures during heavy machinery operations, and team protocols to minimise disturbance.
Completed on time and within budget, Tree Survey’s services supported the Albion Park upgrade’s progression with precise assessments, clear mapping, and reliable arboricultural guidance.
