The Lake Yandel’ora Dam Upgrade in Mount Annan, NSW, supported Camden Council’s management of an important stormwater asset within a much-frequented nature reserve.

Located within Yandel’ora Reserve, the site includes public facilities such as barbecue areas and a playground, as well as pockets of Cumberland Plain Woodland, one of Australia’s most endangered ecosystems.

Together, these elements made careful planning around community infrastructure and existing trees essential.

In 2024, Tree Survey was hired by lead contractor Engeny to provide specialist arboricultural services during the planning and assessment stages of the upgrade.

To begin, our team completed a Tree Survey that captured tree locations across the site. This was supported by GIS Analysis to equip Camden Council and Engeny with clear spatial data and precise mapping.

We then prepared a Preliminary Tree Assessment to document tree health, structure and condition. This gave project teams accurate assessment data to support informed design decisions and manage works around retained trees.

All services were delivered within budget and on schedule, supporting an efficient stormwater upgrade around retained vegetation.
