Situated in one of Sydney’s busiest inner-east corridors, the Edgecliff Road Upgrade aimed to improve safety for all road users with new traffic signals and pedestrian protections.
Delivered by Transport for NSW and funded through the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program, this project targeted known risk points to reduce accidents and support smoother, safer journeys.
In 2022, Tree Survey was appointed to provide independent arboricultural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Drawing on site-specific data and GIS analysis, our team documented the distribution, condition and significance of trees within the construction zone. This formed the foundation for an informed design approach that balanced safety objectives with existing vegetation constraints.
By integrating technical accuracy with clear tree management recommendations, Tree Survey helped project delivery teams progress with precision, compliance and minimal disruption to the established streetscape.
